About Matajer Dubai

Matajer Dubai is an independent guide to your rights and your money when you shop in Dubai: refunds, faulty goods, complaints, tourist VAT, gold, discount tags and sale dates.

"Matajer" (متاجر) is the ordinary Arabic word for "stores". That's the only reason it's in our name.

Not connected to anyone

matajerdubai.com is an independent information site. It is not connected to Matajer shopping centres, Sharjah Holding or Majid Al Futtaim, or to any Dubai or UAE government body, mall or retailer. "Matajer" is used in its ordinary Arabic sense, meaning "stores".

What we don't do

• We don't take or pursue complaints. We can't take or pursue complaints. File only through the authority's own channels.
• We don't collect receipts, card details, one-time passwords or any personal details. There are no forms on this site.
• We don't sell anything, and we don't rank shops, malls, jewellers or payment apps.
• We don't name individual shops as offenders.
